Pasquotank County High School (PCHS) AVID Student Selected

to speak at National Conference

Deitrick Dutton a Junior at PCHS was selected by AVID National from more than 800 applications to be a featured speaker in Orlando, FL.  Click Here to read the press release from AVID National.  "The Education Foundation is extremely pleased that one of our own outstanding AVID students was selected for this honor.  Deitrick was selected to be part of the AVID program beginning in the 7th grade, the year AVID was implemented in our schools.  The selection is a direct attribute to the AVID programs work from staff at Elizabeth City Middle School and Pasquotank County High School with support and leadership from the ECPPS AVID District Director Osmond Lister.  The Foundation's role continues to be the funding source for the program and would not be successful without the generous support received from grants, the ECPPS District and local individuals, organizations and business donors as major resources, says Executive Director Molly Brite, Congratulations Deitrick!"
